Natural Products Expo West is upon us. This Wednesday, March 8, signals the start of the nation’s largest annual gathering of natural, organic, and health-centered brands. Which means that it’s time to put on your comfiest walking shoes and get ready for a long weekend of hugs, high fives, meetings, info sessions, and samples.

Before our team got their bags packed and hopped a plane to L.A., we took a moment to ask our brands about their plans for this year’s show and what they’ve got in store for the summer of 2017.

Are you announcing any new products for summer?

2017 is going to be a great year for us with some really exciting new products coming. We can’t wait to launch our new 3 Brains line at Expo West. First there was our head brain, then we learned that we also had a gut brain but now there’s also the heart brain. It’s so fascinating learning how they function in a connected, but also independent, way. Many more things coming…stay tuned!

What are your Expo West essentials?

After learning the hard way, first and foremost, I make sure I have comfortable shoes! It’s such a busy show that it’s always essential to keep your energy up so I’m always sure to have some good snacks on hand and keep drinking water. Most importantly it is essential to have fun and make the most of this annual opportunity to connect with everyone.

Tell us about your booth this year.

We have so much to showcase at our booth (#1837) this year! We’re thrilled to be launching our new 3 Brains line as well as revealing our new look for our WomenSense products. We’ve got awesome show deals on many of our best-selling lines and who wouldn’t want an Apple iWatch, which is one of the incentives we’re offering our customers! Dr. Karen Jensen, author of Three Brains: How the Heart, Gut, and Brain influence Mental Health and Identity, will also be at our booth on Saturday at 11 am to do a book signing.

What causes you to keep coming back to Expo West every year?

It feels like such a privilege to be a part of the natural health industry and to come together in this way once a year to share what’s new, what has transpired over the past year, and discuss all the plans for the future. We love this opportunity to meet with our customers face-to-face. There is so much rich history, passion, and commitment amongst the people who attend. This keeps it fresh and unique each year whilst still maintaining the heart and soul of the origins of the industry. Can’t wait!

What is your summer bucket list?

Relaxing w/family & friends at “the cabin” in Wisconsin. Water-skiing. Trail riding. Amazing food cooked outside over the fire.

Are you announcing any new products for summer?  

We will be focusing on a strengthened relationship with Dr. Gregory Jantz. His success in helping people with depression, anxiety, and eating disorders is remarkable. Like just about everything that goes wrong in our bodies, the problem lies in nutrient deficiencies and external stressors. We are thankful that Dr. Jantz and the team at The Center – A Place of Hope have teamed up with us in the development of In Joy and Crave Stop. These products, as well as At Ease, At Ease PM, and Brain Awakening, have played an important role in the success they are having with their patients.

What are your Expo West essentials?  

Comfy shoes and staying hydrated!

Tell us about your booth this year.  

The backdrop is a beautiful mountain scene representing our focus on “Health from a Global Perspective.” We see this on two levels: 1) we always have a whole body approach to addressing health issues in our formulation process; 2) we source our herbs from all over the globe insuring we source our herbs in the region of historical significance, which leads to pure, high quality herbs.

What causes you to keep coming back to Expo West every year?  

I’ve been coming to this show for over 25 years. Every year this show expands and the energy increases! Nearly 100,000 people from all over the globe pouring through the aisles in search of the best health solution for their customers. I never get tired of hearing success stories and learning about new advances to achieve health.

I would love to say I have an exotic getaway planned for this summer, but I’m afraid not…

You will be transported to Norway at booth #1843! Come armed with your toughest questions and ask our experts at our question bar. Don’t miss our happy hour(s) from 4:00-6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday as well as a book signing with Dr. Mike Lewis on Saturday at 5:00 pm.

What causes you to keep coming back to Expo West every year?

We work for months upon months to plan this show and being able to go see our hard work in action is extremely rewarding. Aside from that, I love Expo West because it’s like a big family reunion.
