Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO), manufacturer of parachute nylon hammocks and outdoor accessories, asserted its commitment to low-impact recreation. All DoubleNest Hammocks and Atlas Hammock Suspension Straps distributed by NetRush in Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging now include an updated “Guide to Responsible Hammocking.”
This initiative is in line with the brand’s partnership with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, a nonprofit organization that aims to protect the outdoors by teaching and inspiring people to enjoy it responsibly.
ENO initially created the guide to highlight an important environmental issue by way of communicating proper use of their products to consumers. The brochure is based on the Leave No Trace Center’s Seven Principles and provides detailed instructions on how to responsibly enjoy hammocking in the outdoors, while leaving the smallest environmental footprint possible.
“By partnering with Leave No Trace we support their efforts in educating and encouraging people to get outdoors and recreate responsibly. We recognize the importance of doing our part to protect the places where we play, whether it’s a local city park or a national park. We want to inspire people to get out and relax in a hammock, but to do it in a way that minimizes impact on their surroundings and respects others,” said Amy Allison, Marketing and Events Coordinator at Eagles Nest Outfitters.
Eagles Nest Outfitters, the brainchild of brothers Peter and Paul Pinholster, was founded in the summer of 1999. Growing steadily from a two-man, one-van operation, to the leading provider of ingeniously crafted parachute hammocks and outdoor accessories, the company offers the highest quality relaxation products for adventure travelers and outdoors lovers everywhere. The company’s products are sold in over 1,500 specialty outdoor and sporting goods retailers in ten countries and online at www.enonation.com.
